District #348 has a limited number of surplus Solar Eclipse Glasses that can be purchased for $1.00 each. They are available at the District #348 office for pickup while supplies last. Please note: All District #348 STUDENTS and STAFF will receive a pair of solar eclipse glasses.
District #348 Preschool for All will be conducting Child Find/Preschool Screenings for children ages 3 to 5 who are not yet enrolled in public schools and who will not be kindergarten eligible. The screening checks each child’s progress in hearing, vision, speech, language, and coordination skills. This will give parents a better idea of how their child is progressing at this very young age before they begin school. This screening program is free and parents will receive immediate feedback on how their child is developing. Head Start personnel will also be present to explain their program and services. Screenings will be held on April 9th, 10th and 11th. The screening procedure takes about 45 minutes, and appointments must be made so that children do not have a long wait period. Parents should call 618-262-4623 to make an appointment or to get more information.

Just a reminder that your current 5th grade student enrolling next school year as a 6th grader will need to have a completed physical and current Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines prior to registering for the 2024-2025 school year. Good morning,
Last night, the School Board approved amending the school calendar to not be in session on April 8th, 2024. This is the date of the eclipse. Due to the excitement and mobilization of entire communities for this event, it became clear that it would be too difficult to be in session that day. To compensate for not being in session that day, the Board approved being in session on April 1st, 2024. April 1st was to be the last day of spring break, but now it will be an attendance day. I hope this change will be beneficial to all of you.
