When: Monday, April 21 – 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. and Monday, May 12 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
All Screenings Are By Appointment Only
If your child will be starting kindergarten at Mt. Carmel Elementary School in August, please call MCES at 618-263-3876 to schedule a time to have your child screened. Each screening will take approximately 15-20 minutes. There will also be paperwork to fill out for pre-registration information. It will ask for the student’s name and birth date, parents’/guardians’ name(s), address, phone number and email.
All new students will be screened before they are enrolled in kindergarten. The child must be five years old by September 1, 2025. A grandparent, aunt or other caretaker may bring the child for the appointment as long as they have the above information.
We will also be getting you information necessary for registration, including medical requirements, at your screening appointment.
