MCES is now the home to Parkview’s Caring Closet. The clothing shop helps students in need in the K-6th grade. Additionally, as needed, the Caring Closet is also able to help with 7th-12th grade clothing needs.
MCES will be able to house, on site, items from Caring Closet to provide immediate assistance to students identified as in need. Students will be referred to the Caring Closet by their teacher, principal, or school social worker/school counselor based on need.
Caring Closet will provide school appropriate clothing, shoes, coats, undergarments, socks, and hygiene products. Students can visit the Caring Closet once per school year and a referral form will be sent home for the parent.
During the month of August, over 57 students were served with back to school clothing needs.
