Mt. Carmel High School

The Business Communications class hosted a luncheon today to show appreciation for this year’s business partners. 35 people were in attendance during which lunch was provided by Premium Foods, the students made remarks about the program, and prizes were awarded. Thank you again to our wonderful business partners that show constant support for this program and MCHS students!

The MCHS Girls Track Meet scheduled for today at Carmi has been cancelled due to the threat of severe weather.

Graduation Practices will be held Tuesday 5/10/22 and Wednesday 5/11/22 from 9-11 AM at MCHS (Thursday 5/12/22 9-11 AM if necessary). *All Seniors must be promptly present to begin practices *Any Senior that does not attend will not walk in ceremony Honors Night will be held Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at 7 PM Graduation will be indoors in MCHS Gymnasium May 14th, 2022 at 10 AM

The MCHS Woods classes have really RAMPED up their skills lately by building two ramps for the schools yard barns as well as some benches for the pavillion in the front of the school. They really haven't been sitting down on the job!

Allendale Lodge #752 will award the $400 Chester D. Daniels Scholarship to a worthy graduating senior from Mt. Carmel High School.  All eligible students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, but preferences will be given to graduating seniors who attended the Allendale Schools.  You need not be affiliated with a Masonic Organization to apply.   Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline is May 10, 2022.

MCHS Boys and Girls Track Meet Added: The MCHS boys and girls will travel to Red Hill for a meet on Monday, April 25th. This meet was supposed to be at MCHS, but due to construction of the new track, this meet will be moved to Red Hill High School.

The MCHS baseball games scheduled for today at Hamilton County have been cancelled due to too much rain overnight

The Mt. Carmel FFA is gearing up for the plant sale next week! Here are a few sneak peek pictures and students have been working hard in creating some fun unique planters!

We now have applications in the Guidance Office for the Gladys C. Fisher Scholarship. It is a $1000 scholarship limited to seniors of Mt Carmel High School for the field of Music. Deadline is May 5, 2022.

Here is your official 2022-2023 MCHS Football Schedule. We will have 6 regular season home games on the new turf field!

The MCHS softball game at Hamilton County has been cancelled. The MCHS baseball game at Princeton has been cancelled.  In addition, ALL practices (including track pictures) have been cancelled after school due to the threat of severe weather. 

Ivan Holt - IHSA All Academic Team 2022! Congratulations Ivan for earning this prestigious award. Ivan is one of 22 student athletes chosen from hundreds of applicants from all over the state of Illinois. These multi sport athletes excel in the classroom and are outstanding citizens in their communities.

MCHS Athletic Announcement: Today's baseball AND softball games scheduled @ Newton have been POSTPONED. The softball team will now play @ Newton on April 26th. The baseball make-up date is still being discussed.

On Wednesday, April 13th, the Mount Carmel High School Juniors will be taking the S.A.T. test. Students will report to the library on test day and will be dismissed from campus around 1 p.m. after testing concludes but can return for practices and clubs. Buses will not be running at 1 p.m. Students are to bring a #2 wooden pencil and a calculator. Backpacks and phones are not permitted in the testing room. Thank you and Go Aces.

MCHS Athletic Announcement: The MCHS Girls Soccer match scheduled for tomorrow against Mt. Vernon, IL has been cancelled.

On1 Scholarship Applications available in the Guidance Office. This is an up to $5,000 per year renewable scholarship. Deadline May 1, 2022.

Today the Mt. Carmel FFA competed at the Section 23 Livestock Contest in Newton, IL. The team was coached by Logan Kennard, former Mt. Carmel FFA member. The team placed 9th overall with Lexi S. placing 2nd overall!!!! Team members included Lexi S., Gage K., Drew G., Brady B., and Glenna M. We are proud of these students, off to state on the 22nd!

The MCHS Boys Track Meet at the Olney Invitational scheduled for Friday, April 8th in Olney has been CANCELLED.
