The WVC Priority Application Deadline for Round 2 will end on February 25th. The scholarships are renewable for up to four semesters — Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024, not including summer courses. The Interact Club at MCHS teamed up with Rise Against Hunger last Friday in Mount Vernon, IL. Students helped assemble food bags to send to countries around the world. They were able to bag 10,000 meals in a couple of hours. Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies.

The Wood Manufacturing 2 class had the opportunity to visit Trey and Kelsey Beckerman at Maple Hill Restorations. Trey and Kelsey explained and demonstrated how they strip, repair, and refurbish furniture. Maple Hill is an excellent example of a small business serving the local community.
