Rotary International District 6510 Foundation 2020 Scholarship Application:
The Rotary International District 6510 Scholarship will fund two scholarships to an accredited College or Trade school. Awards will be $2,500 each. Winners will be presented at the High School Senior event where Scholarships are awarded. Recipient will agree to have their award publicized throughout Rotary International District 6510.
Eligibility:
· Reside ibn Rotary District 6510
· B average GPA
· Resume of Community Involvement and Volunteerism
· Resume of School involvement – Service, Clubs, Athletics, etc.
· Educational and Career Plan
· Essay included on “Service Above Self”
Rotary Club of Mount Carmel, IL 2020 Scholarship:
The scholarship is a onetime only contribution of $750 to assist with textbooks of Mt. Carmel graduating seniors who plan on attending a college/university. Two scholarship recipients will be chosen.
Criteria: Leadership, Community Service, Academics, School Extracurricular activities, Preference given to Interact Students.
Application must also be completed in full, including attachments listed and submitted to Mt. Carmel High School Guidance Department prior to the end of the regular school day on Friday April 24, 2020.

Seniors:
Wabash Area Development, Inc. (WADI), in coordination with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, through the Community Services Block Grant Program, is announcing the availability of 7 scholarships in the amount of $1150 available to income eligible students in Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Saline, Wabash, Wayne and White counties for use during the 2020-2021 school year. Priority is given to graduating high school students.
The scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office.
Completed applications should be returned to WADI by 5:00 p.m. April 16, 2020

The South East Illinois Area Health Education Center (SEIL-AHEC) is accepting applications for $500 Future Healthcare Hero awards for 2020 high school graduates attending high school in one of the following counties: Alexander, Clay, Crawford, Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Johnson, Lawrence, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Richland, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, White, and Williamson.
· Applicants must be pursuing entry into any health science program for the 2019 fall semester.
· Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA
· Applicants must submit the following items:
• completed and signed application and release
• transcripts (may be sent separately)
• two letters of recommendation.
· Applications are available in MCHS Guidance Office
· Deadline for submitting required documents is March 15, 2020.

MCHS Boys Basketball Senior Night Game Time Change. The boys basketball game vs Richland County on Monday, February 17th will start with the JV game at 5:30. The original time had a 6:15 start. The JV game will now start at 5:30, with the SENIOR NIGHT Ceremony in between the JV and Varsity games.

The Bev Morgan Memorial Scholarship is available to a Mt. Carmel High school senior who is majoring in a medical field. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. The deadline is 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2020.

Girls Soccer meeting this Friday, February 7th, during advisory (2:48 p.m.). Meet in room 140 if you are interested in participating in MCHS Girls Soccer this spring.

Taco Tierra is offering a $1000 scholarship to a Mt. Carmel High School graduating senior who is attending Wabash Valley College, and is majoring in the field of nursing. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and the deadline is 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2020.

The MCHS Alumni Foundation will be awarding a $500 scholarship to a qualified male and female student from MCHS who meet the application requirements. Applications must be submitted to the Mt. Carmel High School Guidance Department no later than May 1, 2020.
Applications are available in the MCHS Guidance Office.
Cade Newkirk, Senior at Mount Carmel High School, will sign a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for Wabash Valley College, Mt. Carmel IL. His signing will take place on Wednesday, February 5th at 3:30 pm in the Main Lobby at Mount Carmel High School. The community is invited to attend the signing.
Mark your calendars! The MCHS FBLA Dodgeball Tournament will be March 7, 2020 at 9:30 AM. Pre-register to get a discount and a guaranteed spot. Teams are formed on your own. T-shirt forms will be released soon. Packets will be at each school's office or Mrs. Witsman's room.
The Mt. Carmel High School Wrestling Match that was originally scheduled for tonight at Robinson, has been changed to a HOME match at Mt. Carmel High School. The match will start at 6:15.
Six MCHS music students and their teacher, Kim Mandrell, are attending the ILMEA Illinois Music Education Conference. Timothy Rosignol, Jonathon Bader, Ashley Majors, Hannah Shular, Jack Marvell, and Jonas Martin will be participating in various All State performances. Go Aces!
Seniors:
Albion Moose Lodge #621 is offering their Deceased Pilgrim Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000 to a senior from Wayne, White, Wabash, Richland, or Edwards County. Edwards County Guidance Counselor, Kelley Biggs, will be the contact person to receive scholarship applications. Mrs. Biggs tracks the distribution of the applications so she is the only one who can deliver an application to students. She may be reached at 618-445-2325. During the judging the name of the student and school are not known to those doing the scoring; and, no personnel from ECHS is used in the judging.
Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be returned to Mrs. Biggs or postmarked by March 17, 2020.
Seniors:
Beta Sigma Psi, a national Lutheran fraternity for collegiate men and alumni. offer several scholarships that are available to Lutheran men who will be starting college in Fall 2020. Alumni from the University of Illinois, Indiana University, and Purdue University will select well-qualified individuals to be honored with the Christian Leadership Award, a $1,500 scholarship towards the cost of tuition at the respective campus they will be attending.
They also offer the Martin Luther Scholarship; a $2000 award for young men attending their first year at any accredited 4-year college or university.
Applicants should be, confirmed members of the Lutheran congregation, and starting college in Fall 2020.
Deadline is February 15, 2020.
