The Mount Carmel Jr. High Band & Choir participated in the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) State Organizational Contest on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Mount Vernon, IL. The Choir received straight Superior ratings and the band received 2 Superior ratings and 1 Excellent rating. Both groups were among the best scoring groups of the day. The MCJHS Band & Choir are under the direction of Mrs. Ellen Wall.
