Attached are the step by step directions for parents of athletes, to fill out the necessary paperwork (electronically) that is needed before your student athlete is able to play in an athletic event. Online Registration for Wabash CUSD#348 is now open. You can find registration information on the district website. School offices will open July 26-August 6, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. This is also a reminder that HEALTH RECORD drop-off will be open tomorrow (July 19th) from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and again on July 26th, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel High School building for all students requiring health information.

Registration portals for the 2021-2022 school year will be locked for students requiring health records for entrance. Those students entering Kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade and 12th grade are required to have physicals and/or immunizations for entrance into school. The Mt. Carmel Jr/Sr High office will be open to drop off those health records so portals can be opened on the following days and times. MCJHS/MCHS will be having some asphalt work done starting Monday, June 21. Therefore, Plum Street will be blocked off and the faculty lots adjacent to it. You will still be able to park in front of the school and in the "Senior/Gym 1" parking lot. The exit to the Gym 1 parking lot will also be blocked off, so you will need to enter and exit on 3rd Street. This project is expected to be completed towards the end of July.

9th grade physical and dental forms were sent home with your child yesterday. A couple of classrooms did not get their forms handed out and those will be coming home today. Please ask your child for these forms and make your appointments. If you did not receive the forms please let me know and I can get you another copy. 9th Grade Health Records - The physical and dental forms are being sent home with your student today. Please ask for them and get your appointments set up. Physician offices fill up quickly in the summer and your child will not be able to register for school until these forms are completed and turned in. The DENTAL EXAM my be completed during the school year but the PHYSICAL EXAM must be completed prior to registering. Please be sure the physical is done on the form provided. Sports physicals will not be accepted as a school physical. The school physical will however cover a sports physical. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call @ 262-5104 ext 112. All MCJHS students will participate in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness State Testing on May 11, 12 and 13. All students will need to come to school with their Chromebooks fully charged and will also need to bring their chargers with them. Students will need non-wireless earbuds for all tests. It is important that all students get to school on time during testing, as some test will begin at 8:05. If your child is a remote learner, click the link below for testing start times. The Mt. Carmel Junior High Regional Track Meet scheduled for today in Salem has been POSTPONED. The regional track meet will now be tomorrow, May 5th at Salem. The meet will start at 1:00 p.m..

Due to the high potential of rain and severe weather tomorrow (May 4), we have had to postpone the 5th-8th grade spring concert to the rain date of Thursday, May 6 at 6:30p.m. The concert will still be outside in front of the Grade School. Sorry for any inconvenience.

MCJHS Cheer Team Tryout Clinics: Monday, May 3rd, Wednesday, May 5th, and Thursday, May 6th, 3:30-5:00 in MCGS gymnasium. This is open to all current 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Attendance is mandatory unless excused by the coach. Cheer Tryout: Friday, May 7, 3:30-6:00 (or until finished) in the MCGS gymnasium. Informational packets are available in the Main Office at MCGS and Athletic Office at MCJHS.

MCJHS 8th grade students will participate in the Illinois Science Assessment next week on April 27, 28 and 29. Students will test during their regularly scheduled science period. All students will need to bring non-wireless earbuds to school for these tests. If your child is a remote learner, they will need to come into school during their science period for testing on those days. Please have them check into the office first. If you need to know the exact time of their science period, please refer to the Student Handbook or call the Guidance Office at 262-8886 and we will be happy to assist you.

Does your child ever wonder what they want to do when they grow up? The good news is that MCJHS partnered with Junior Achievement, who has provided a virtual resource called Job Spark, which is intended to help students explore eight career clusters.
