
Family Fall Festival has been moved to the First General Baptist Church, due to inclement weather. The event is on 10/31/19 at 10 AM and includes Wabash Community District #348 Preschool for All, Early Childhood and 0-3 PI families. Families are encouraged to dress in costume for the event.

A very special thank you to all the parents who participated in the School-Mall campaign. The drawing for the chair went to Phillip Majors. We did have a golden ticket winner (more information later). We did not reach our goal, but ever little bit helps.


The Yankee Candle top three sellers at MCES: 1st Place - Quentin Daniels; 2nd Place-Jacob VanMatre, 3rd Place-Jaedon Mallernee. The top three classes to win a popcorn movie party are Kindergarten-Mrs. Gordon, First Grade-Mrs. Graef and Second Grade-Mrs. Litherland. Thank you!




Scholastic Book Fair at MCES starts today. Please remember it will be open during parent teacher conferences. It is on the stage.


MCES pictures from Aly Mae Images is going home today. Retake's will be Wednesday, October 23rd. The retake policy is at the bottom of the order sheet.

Breakfast is provided by the kitchen staff at all schools. Breakfast is $1.00 and is served from 7:20 a.m. until 7:53 a.m. Please tell your child about our breakfast program. Kindergarteners enjoyed a visit from Johnny Appleseed (senior Jack Marvell) on Johnny Appleseed day! The students listened to a tale of Johnny’s life and adventures, shared some of their apple orchard field trip highlights with him, and sang Happy Birthday to him!




2nd Grade MCES Students enjoyed a visit from Johnny Appleseed today. Johnny Appleseed read a story to the students and shared a little bit about his life.




MCES 2nd graders enjoyed listening to Johnny Appleseed read a story about his life and answering some questions.




MCES Kindergarten students had a great first field trip at Apple Hill Orchard today! They were lucky enough to taste test different types of apples, apple cider, pick their own apple and experience all of the machinery.


Mrs. Jones' 2nd grade class enjoyed an Ag in the Classroom lesson presented by Mrs. Staci Roberts from the Wabash County Farm Bureau on September 13th. During our first lesson, we learned about the life cycle of an apple tree and enjoyed a story about Johnny Appleseed.

Update on Mt. Carmel Elementary School dismissal times. The buses will be loaded by 3:05 p.m. and the car riders dismissed at 3:10 p.m. Please make sure to make arrangements accordingly.
