For your incoming 2021-2022 6th grade student, the Tdap and Meningitis vaccines are required immunizations for registration. The Wabash County Health Department will be at MCGS in the Health Office on Wednesday, May 5th during the morning hours to give the required vaccines to your child. If this is something your would like your child to participate in please email me at kdeisher@wabash348.com so I can send you the consent form which must be completed prior to your child receiving the vaccines. These immunizations along with a physical and dental screening are the only health requirements for their 6th grade year. This would alleviate the need to make one appointment during the summer to get the vaccine. The physical and dental forms will be sent home with your student on May 6th. Please schedule your child's physical appointment early as this is required to be completed prior to being able to register your child for school. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 618-262-5699. Thank you! Kris Deisher RN

After discussions with our local health department and state officials, all Wabash #348 schools will discontinue temperature checks at school bus pick ups and when entering the school buildings. We must stress that it is of the utmost importance that you do not send your child to school when he or she is not feeling well. I want to thank everyone with their patience throughout this process. As with everything right now, situations can and will immediately change. Stay safe and Go Aces!
