There will be some changes to summer school this school year at MCHS. We will be offering the following core subjects: Science, English, Math, and American History. Summer school will run from Tuesday, May 28th to Thursday, June 27th, with classes scheduled Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 12 PM. There will be a requirement of having at least a 30% for the 2nd semester in order to attend summer school. Priority will be given in this order: Juniors, Sophomores, then Freshman Driver's Ed will also be offered during the summer. Students must sign up in the Guidance Office! If you have any questions, please call Guidance at 618-262-8886. Attendance is MANDATORY to recover credits in summer school. You can only miss 2 days!

All classes meet at regular times. "Wabash General Hospital will proudly offer FREE sports physicals for 2024-2025 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders on Wednesday May 15th 8:00am-4:00pm at Mt. Carmel High School. The following link allows you to complete the waiver for consent to complete the physical at school as well as your child(ren)'s medical history for our medical providers to review. Sarah McCorkle won the Charleston 2A Secrional High Jump with a jump of 1.54 meters (5’0.5”) She outjumped 22 other competitors and will advance to the 2A Illinois State Championship to be held at Eastern Illinois University starting on May 16th.

Doors open to the public tonight at 6 PM for Honors Night and 9 AM Saturday for Graduation Ceremonies at MCHS. All handicapped reserved seating is labeled and the link has been taken down for both events. Golf carts will run throughout the parking areas to pick up those unable to walk the distance to the Main Gym. GRADUATES ONLY are to enter through the front door of the main lobby at 6:15 PM for lineup in the auditorium tonight and 8:15 AM on Saturday to have pictures taken. We are asking that the public please respect the times of entry to both events. Thanks and Go Aces!

MCHS SENIORS: Formal Cap/Gown pictures will take place in the auditorium before the MCHS graduation ceremony. Students need to arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. to be photographed. Pictures will also be taken during the ceremony. All pictures will be available for online ordering, and proofs will be sent out within a few weeks.
