
Congratulations to MCHS Senior, IVAN HOLT on being selected to the IHSA All- Academic Team. The 13 male and 13 female honorees of the IHSA’s top academic honor were chosen from a group that included hundreds of students throughout the state. The students were chosen by their GPA, participation in multiple sports, essay and recommendations. This is a tremendous honor, and we are very proud to have Ivan represent our school on the All-State Academic Team.

Mt. Carmel FFA Annual Chili Supper and live auction has been postponed and rescheduled for March 1st at 6pm in the MCHS Cafeteria. So many wonderful items to be auctioned off and gallons of chili to be eaten, hope to see you there!


The CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program is currently recruiting upcoming 2022-2023 Junior and Senior students. More information about the Mount Carmel CEO Program and application details can be found at: mountcarmelceo.com. The application deadline is February 28th.

FBLA members shared donuts this morning with junior high and high school students & staff to wrap up FBLA Week!



FBLA members enjoyed a pizza party yesterday during lunch in celebration of FBLA Week!



Everyone is welcome to the Sadie Hawkins Dance next Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Anderson Building from 7:00 to 10:00. $5 a person to help with After Prom.
Don't forget Sadie Hawkins Dance means the girls get to ask their favorite boy to the dance!

Tonight's IHSA Class 2A Girls Basketball Regional Championship Game and 3 Point Showdown has been postponed to Friday.
The 3 Point Showdown will start at 5:30.

Due to the possibility of bad weather later this evening, the Mt. Carmel boys basketball game scheduled for tonight at Red Hill will now be VARSITY ONLY starting at 5:00pm. The JV game has been cancelled, ending their season with a record of 11-4.

2022 is starting off GREAT in Spanish class! Students have had many celebrations and continue to work hard this year❤️





The Woods Manufacturing classes and the Construction class had the opportunity to meet Dustin from Lincoln Tech. Dustin spoke on the importance of technical schools as well as various scholarships available for those interested in the trades.

This Thursday 2/17 MCHS will offer an Art Course and Career Fair for students to learn more about what new art courses will be offered next year, opportunities to advance in the program, and creative career paths! The presentation will be shared each class period except 5a and 5b which will be open Q&A format.
