From the MCHS Homecoming Committee: As previously published, MCHS is excited to announce that we will be celebrating a Homecoming on Friday, April 16. As you might expect, the Homecoming will likely not look like the ones in the past. A Homecoming Queen and court will be chosen by the student body of MCHS and a crowning ceremony will be held on April 16 at a time and date to be announced later. With current IDPH and CDC guidelines, we would not be able to have the usual pep session, Homecoming Parade, football game that is scheduled on that date, or the dance on the next evening, but we are looking into options that would allow us to find a venue for the crowning of the Queen and announcement of the Homecoming Court. If restrictions are eased by this time we will certainly have a parade, football game, and dance. Owing to Homecoming being so close to Prom (May 1) the dance would be casual to cut down on the expense of buying formal wear.
