Attention Junior High Parents- Your child cannot go out to lunch with another student unless we have a note or a phone call to the office allowing them to do so. You also MUST sign the student out in the main office for them to be able to leave for lunch.
MCHS is participating in the Sunrise School Spirit through 14News on October 13, 2023. We are asking for donations of unexpired and nonperishable items. You may drop off these items at MCJHS in the lobby, as well as other locations throughout town, between August 28-October 10. All items collected will be given to the Tri-State Food Bank. Please consider contributing to this event to make it a success! More details to come about the event on October 13!
The Mount Carmel Jr. High Baseball and Softball games at home against Carmi has been rescheduled for Thursday September 7th at 4:30.

The Mt. Carmel Junior High Softball Game scheduled for today at Grayville has been cancelled.
Nearly all MCHS and MCJHS students were issued Chromebooks today. Once again we will be offering Chromebook insurance. The insurance covers accidental Chromebook damage such as cracked screens, broken hinges, and liquid submersion as well as accidental damage to chargers. The cost for the insurance for the school year will be $29 and there is no deductible for claims. In order to purchase the insurance, you will need to complete the form below and send $29 to the school office. Cash or checks will be accepted. Your insurance will not be valid until both are complete.

Junior High Baseball Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, July 26 at 4th street ballpark from 4:00-5:30pm. Tryouts are for boys entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade at Mt. Carmel Grade School or Mt. Carmel Junior High School.

Reminder that your student entering 9th grade for the 2023-2034 school year will need a physical completed. There are no immunizations required for 9th grade. The physical will need to be completed prior to registration. 9th grade students are also required to have a dental exam completed and this will need to be completed prior to May 15, 2024. The Junior High Track meet scheduled for today in Fairfield has been Cancelled.
Attached is the schedule for our Junior High Volleyball Team at the State Tournament in Pinckneyville on Saturday, March 25. ***Reminder that the fan bus will leave at 8:30am from the high school parking lot. If they lose the first game, the fan bus will be back around 2:30pm. If they win their first game, the fan bus will be back around 6:00pm.
MCJHS students will participate in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness on Monday, March 27-Wednesday, March 29. Please ensure your child is present and on-time, during testing. Also, please ensure that your child comes to school with their fully-charged Chromebook and earbuds that are not wireless.
